All TAD and EHS band students in grades 6-12 will benefit from the funds raised through each family’s generosity and hard work! Please help us to provide the best band program possible for our students.
Funds raised will help provide:
✔ Experienced teachers to assist in instrument instruction – Percussion instructors and any extra specialists that we have throughout the year are funded either partially or entirely through band booster fundraising!
✔ The ability to purchase music and instruments – We are in desperate need of some instruments at the MS level!
✔ Instrument repair – We must keep our school owned instruments in good repair so they last longer!
✔ Uniforms – Not only do we need to care for what we have, we purchase band t-shirts for our students thru fundraising and hope to one day get new uniform jackets!
✔ Help cover travel expenses to various events – Jr. Clinic, Reward Trips, and other opportunities
✔ And much more!
Our minimum goal is for each TAD Band student to sell at least 10 items. If you do not wish to sell merchandise, donations are welcome. Our minimum goal for students submitting donations would be at least $65. Since we turn in a portion of the proceeds for merchandise to the fundraising company, this is about the average of what would be earned by each student selling the minimum number of items.
Thank you in advance for your support of the Betsy Band fundraisers. Whether your family sells merchandise, assists in the concessions stand, helps with various events that provide funding, or makes a donation to the band program, your support is greatly appreciated!
GENERAL REMINDERS
● Start early and get as many customers as possible
● Sell only to friends and family, never strangers
● Introduce yourself and why you are selling
● Be sure to thank customers!
● Merchandise should arrive sometime in November before Thanksgiving.
ORDER FORM INFO
● The order form is NCR (no carbon), so be sure to use a blue or black ballpoint pen and do not make mistakes on the form. Complete all information across the top of the order form. (Coach name: Hutchison, Organization name: Betsy Band)
● Prices for each of the items are clearly marked on the brochure, along with the catalog code, name, and the description of the item. Write the customer’s name, phone number, the catalog code, quantity ordered, price per item, and total amount due for each customer. If the brochure does not have an item number, that product must be ordered online.
● If the order form provided is completely filled, students should see Mrs. Hutchison for an additional form.
INTERNET ORDER INFO
● Instructions to set up internet order sales are included in the fundraising envelope.
● There is even more merchandise for sale in the online store.
● Items ordered online are shipped directly to customers—allowing for customers that might not live locally.
DONATION INFO
● When submitting donations, please have donors designate “Betsy Band donation” in the memo portion of the check.
● Checks should be made payable to Betsy Band Booster Club.
MONEY COLLECTION INFO
● Collect the money upfront. NO SALES TAX should be collected for the items sold.
● All checks should be made payable to Betsy Band Booster Club
● Parents may want to write one check for the total. (Checks payable to Betsy Band Booster Club.)
ORDER FORM & MONEY SUBMISSION ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7
● ALL order forms and payment must be returned by Wednesday, October 7.
● Have parents help total the order form, both the amount and number of items sold.
● Turn in ALL money and white and yellow order forms ONLY in the provided envelope. (Remember, money can only be submitted in the band room in a sealed envelope.
● ***Keep the pink order form for your records. (You will need this to deliver items to customers.)***
DELIVERY INFORMATION
● Once the delivery date for merchandise is known, that info will be pushed out through the BAND app. Students pick up orders at the Elizabethton High School band room.
● Please check to make sure order is correct and that there are no damaged items
● Report problems immediately to the fundraising company – there will be instructions in the order for how to do so.
