Junior Clinic Audition Registration

Junior Band Clinic Auditions are an opportunity for 7th and 8th grade band students in upper East Tennessee to make placement in clinic bands made up of the top band students in the area. It is a huge honor for students at this level to be chosen to participate. The students that participate in these bands will prepare a concert with only two days of rehearsal with other students in their grade level. Students that wish to audition are required to learn and memorize scales for each grade level, perform a prepared piece, and sight-read for judges.

Auditions for Junior Clinic will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Sevier Middle School in Kingsport. Advanced Band students that wish to audition must turn in the non-refundable $10.00 fee to Mrs. Hutchison during band class November 17-19, 2025. AUDITION FEES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER NOVEMBER 19. If sending a check, please make it out to the Elizabethton Band Boosters. Please include exact change if sending cash. Money should be placed in a sealed envelope with the student’s name on the outside.

For those students making the clinic band, Junior Band Clinic will be held on February 13-14, 2026 at Ross N. Robinson Middle School in Kingsport, TN. Specific details regarding the clinic itself will be sent after auditions.

Many of our students are qualified to audition for such a wonderful musical experience! Participation is strongly encouraged. This is a terrific opportunity to showcase both individual skill on an instrument and represent the Betsy Band and T.A. Dugger throughout the region!
